WebSep 14, 2015 · Alright guys I've got a Stihl FS 55 weed eater that has ran fine for years and suddenly it won't stay running. I put a new Zama carb on it, that didn't fix it. New fuel line, filter, air filter, and plug, that didn't work. Fresh gas mix with Sea Foam added, that didn't work. I choke it, pull once it fires, turn choke off starts first pull. WebPut some fresh fuel in it and prime the heck out of it to flush the carburetor. Also try speeding up the idle, the lower adjustment screw,to just below where the head starts to turn. fisher40037 15 years ago If it bogs and dies, then canguy's idea is good, but if it just refuses to speed up, take the spark arrestor
