WebDec 21, 2024 · Nothing wrong with a newbie question. Jazz drummers typically use 16-20” bass drums because the smaller diameter allows to tune up to a higher pitch. I couldn’t mess with a 22-26” bass trying to make it sound like a jazz bass drum. There are many small bass drums on reverb, maybe get one if you really wanted.
